The Volcanic Darkness Candle
More than just a fragrance, this candle is a geological journey captured in scent. Inspired by the perilous underground expedition of Professor Lidenbrock and his nephew Axel, the fragrance evokes the raw, primal essence of unexplored earth and volcanic landscapes.
A Sensory Expedition
Top Notes: Bright saffron, marine freshness, and green floral hints cut through like the first rays of light penetrating underground caverns. Crisp cucumber adds an unexpected moment of coolness, reminiscent of underground streams.
Middle Notes: Warm clove and rich incense create the tension of unexplored territories. Sandalwood and earthy tones ground the fragrance, evoking the weight of stone and rock surrounding our intrepid explorers.
Base Notes: Deep smoke, amber, and moss emerge like the primordial essence of the earth's core. Patchouli adds depth, conjuring images of ancient, untouched landscapes hidden from sunlight.
When lit, this candle transforms your reading space into a portal of discovery. Each flicker and wisp of smoke mirrors the unpredictable journey of Verne's characters, inviting you to lose yourself in one of literature's greatest adventure narratives.
Perfect for readers who crave immersive experiences, this bundle turns reading into an expedition of the senses – from the page to the very heart of the earth.
Burning & care
Burning & care
Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each burn. On the first burn, let the wax melt all the way to the edge of the jar (about 2 to 3 hours) so it does not tunnel.
Burn for no more than 4 hours at a time, on a heat-safe surface, away from drafts, pets and children. Stop when about 1/2 inch of wax remains.
