- 20 cm shows about 1 km across (a neighbourhood). 7.7 in square plate, fits an 8×8 in shadow box.
- 25 cm shows about 1.2 km. 9.6 in plate, 10×10 in frame.
- 40 cm shows about 2 km (a whole town centre). Four plates, 16×16 in frame.
- Landscape models show about 17 km across at the same sizes: ranges, valleys, lakes and islands.
Choose cream, charcoal, terracotta or monochrome. Add a caption label for the frame (a date, a name, a street) or highlight one building in the accent colour.

Burning & care
Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each burn. On the first burn, let the wax melt all the way to the edge of the jar (about 2 to 3 hours) so it does not tunnel.
Burn for no more than 4 hours at a time, on a heat-safe surface, away from drafts, pets and children. Stop when about 1/2 inch of wax remains.
