Persephone

Bright and earthy, our Persephone candle is a blend of tart pomegranate and currant with earthy cedar and rosemary, befitting the Queen of the Underworld.

Set in a fine copper vessel inspired by the Bronze Age, like all of our Greek Mythology candles, Persephone is hand-poured in America withal a coconut soy wax blend and a crackling wood wick.

A daughter of Zeus and Demeter in Greek Mythology,  Persephone was captured by Hades and brought to the underworld as his wife.  He released her, but gave her some pomegranate seeds to eat, which cursed her to return to the underworld for half the year, signifying autumn and winter.
